LaGrangeLocks9.jpg
During my trip to Illinois in Nov 2001, I went in search of the La Grange Locks where grandma Ivey grew up. I found them, but after I got home, I found out these locks were built in 1939, after grandma was there. The old locks are down river a few miles, and I never got to see them. I also wanted to take pictures of the three houses on the locks that grandma’s family and two other families lived in during that time. The new locks have three house also, so it made it even more confusing for me. Next time I go, I will look for the old location of the locks.
