In an email from Martha PENICK Lamkin, 2 Nov 2003, she writes: “Elijah SANDERS (second child of Eastin SANDERS and Denarzzi MADDRA) and wife, Usiba COOK, named their daughter Frances Denarze SANDERS (b. 12 Aug 1856). Since they obviously named her in honor of Elijah's mother, and spelled the name the way it SOUNDED - - De nar' zee - - I feel that his mother's name must have been Denarzzi, which would sound the same way. I do not have information on any other children of Elija and Usiba, if indeed they had other children.
