2. Sent to me by Ann Billings Rheney; 2 Nov 2003:
I have a newspaper account from Mother's Day 1950 about Fannie Mudd Sanders and her offspring. It is a clipping, so does not have the name of the newspaper, but I would guess it was the Lamar, Colorado local paper. The article is entitled: Children Home From Seven States Fete Mrs. Fannie Sanders on Mother's Day. It lists her attending children as Leslie Sanders, Willie Sanders, Roger Sanders, Myrtle Ard, Reece Sanders, Cornelia Rowe, Ethel Pryor, Grace Sawyer, Edith Smith, and Charles Sanders. One son, Carl Sanders was unable to attend. The article states that four of her children were deceased at the time. [One was Fannie Trilby Sanders, who as a teen was kicked in the head by a horse and died as a result. The others were Roy Lee Sanders, Jennings Bryan Sanders, and Jackson Kern Sanders]. [511]
