OccupationWheelwright On Ship’s Manifest Of 1907; Carpenter - House Builder In 1930 US Census [482], [483]
Misc. Notes
1. Ship’s manifest from Ellis Island, Jan 1907 shows Franz (Frank) Bubenicek going to a cousin Sarah Naly (sp?) in Union Hill, NJ. He was traveling alone. [482] He also shows up on a ship’s manifest at Ellis Island in June 1912, arriving from Buenos Aires, again traveling alone and listed as US Citizen going to his wife in Union Hill, NJ. [484] And in June 1913 he is shown arriving alone from Bremen, Germany to Ellis Island and listed on the Ship’s Manifest of US Citizens. He is shown as being Naturalized in 1910 in Jersey City, NJ. [485] The 1930 US Census shows immigration in 1904. The 1930 US Census also shows that Frank was age 44 at first marriage, but this cannot be true if Otto was born in 1910. I believe he might have been 44 when he married Betty. [483]
Spouses
Birthabt 1883, Wolfsbach, Austria [61], [486]
Deathabt 1924 [61] Age: 41
Misc. Notes
1. Karolina came to America with her sister-in-law, Frantiska (Frances) Sumicek and her two children, Marie and Godfrey. Karolina is listed on the manifest as married and going to her husband Frank in New York. [486]

2.
“It appears my Grandpa Frank [Sumicek] and Frank Bubenicek came to America at, or near the same time in 1907, and both left wives in Czechoslovakia. They got jobs and then when they had enough money they sent for their wives who came in 1908. So I figure Otto was born in N.J. and then Karoline who was pregnant with Ida, for some reason returned to Wolfsbach, Austria, and she and Frank remained separated until she died in 1924. Then Frank married Betty in 1926.” [61]

Misc. Notes
1. The 1930 US Census shows immigration in 1913, but I cannot find her on the Ellis Island website. The census also shows Betty was married before, as her daughter, Mildred Cerny is listed as step-daughter to Frank Bubenicek. [483]
