Misc. Notes
1. From James B. White’s Obituary in the Picket Journal, 3 Dec 1925: “...Surviving relatives include... a foster brother, Wm Fleming of Boyd.”

2. From the Obituary of William White Sr. in the Picket Journal, 24 Sept 1931: “...Surviving are a foster son, William Flemings of Boyd.”

3. Christina married FLEMING, then BARR. Then she married Red Donnally, who fancied himself a cowboy. In the 1930’s she married John Berg, who was quite a bit younger than her. Christina was short, fat, and comical. She always had a funny thing to say. William and Margaret White raised her son, William Fleming, from the time he was a year old. Until my mother [Jeanie Dean WHITE] was 14, she thought they were brother and sister. He was only five months older than she. I named my daughter Jeanie, after my mother. It was not until my daughter was 13 that she found out her grandma’s name was Jeanie and not Jean. William Fleming had a son by Lillian Roland. Divorced, and married Jessie Smith. They had two daughters, Arvilla & Irene, and three or four boys. The youngest was killed in Vietnam, age 19-20. The information about Christina’s marriages came from Anna May Lowman, Christina’s niece. Anna’s mother, Grace, lived across the street from her. Billie had two sons, Robert and Gene. Gene lives in St. Helens. He did not answer my letter. The above researched by: Margaret (Peggy) NORMILE Bailey. [62]
