Misc. Notes
1. “The story of the marriage between James Jamieson and Jean or Jane Jamieson is that they were cousins, and her first husband was killed in a mine,( they just had one son, James). Great Grandmother used to come and stay with my father and his family after her daughter, Elizabeth died leaving small chidren for my grandfather, Walter Gleave to care for. So my father use to tell stories of her staying with them. The marriage record for James Jamieson and Jane Jamieson is found in the Old Parochial Registers of Lanark Rutherglen Film Number 102964 (LDS Family History Center film). It reads as follows: James Jamieson and Jane Jamieson, both of this Parish, married on the 18 day of July by Rev. P. Brown, Minister of Rutherglen.” [377]
