1. From the January 19, 1935 Democrat Message: “Funeral services for George Fink were conducted at Mt. Zion Church Wednesday afternoon, Re. H. E. Stuller officiating. Homer Cooper, Charles Clark, Herman and Bert Cooper, Willie Hawkshaw and Fred Fink acted as pallbearers and burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. George Fink, eldest son of John and Mary Fink was born in Ohio in 1853 and died January 14, 1935. He was united in marriage to Hattie Hawkshaw in August, 1900. To this union three children were born, two dying in infancy. Surviving are the widow and a son Ralph, of Carthage, and several nieces and nephews.”
