1. The following was taken from his obituary in the local newspaper: “He came to Montana in April 1908 with his parents, Albert and Lucy (Brass) Hoff, where they homesteaded on the Huntley Project. He attended Huntley Project Schools and graduated in 1926. In August of 1928, he married his high school sweetheart, Doley M. Bartholomew. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August of 1988. Doley passed away in January of 1989. Charles farmed on the Huntley Project all of his adult working life. He also worked at the Billings sugar beet refinery for 17 campaigns. He enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. [61]
